Delegation of the Constitutional Court of Georgia pays an official visit to Italy

The Delegation of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, under the leadership of the President of the Court, left on an official visit to Italy. The first meeting was held at the Constitutional Court of Italy, where the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Mr. Zaza Tavadze, Vice-President Ms. Lali Papiashvili and Member of the Court Ms. Irine Imerlishvili were hosted by the President of the Constitutional Court of Italy Mr. Paolo Grossi and Vice-President Mr. Giorgio Lattanzi. The meeting was of introductory character and parties discussed the authority of two courts, current case-laws and challenges of the Constitutional Justice in Europe. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Zaza Tavadze left a memorable entry in the guestbook.

On December  9-10, 2016 Mr. Zaza Tavadze will attend the 109th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission and will deliver  a speech  on  the  current development of the Constitutional Justice in Georgia. The meeting with the President of the Venice Commission Mr. Gianni Buquicchio is also planned in the framework of the visit.
