SUMMER SCHOOL 2008
On 30 June – 11 July 2008 the Summer School on "Constitutional and Human Rights Law" was solemnly opened at the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
The Summer School, held for the first time in Georgia, was aimed to enhance knowledge and professional skills of the young lawyers and undergraduate students in the constitutional and human rights law.
The participants of the course were selected on competitive base beforehand.
During two weeks the lectures in the relevant fields were delivered by the recognized international and Georgian experts: Mr. Jeremy McBride, Barrister, University of Birmingham-Senior Research Fellow; Dr. Richard Vogler, University of Sussex as well as judges of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
The study course included various activities including the moot court session.
The Constitutional Court of Georgia organized the Summer School with the support of British Council, Eurasia Partnership Foundation, American Bar Association, Non-governmental organization - "ALPE", Ilia Chavchavadze State University and the Liberty Institute.
