| Summer School Started
On 5 July 2010 Summer School on Constitutional and Human Rights Law started at the Constitutional Court of Georgia
The participants of the Summer School are law students of Bachelor and Master Studies and recent graduates of law faculties. During two weeks they will attend the lectures on Constitutional Law, General Principles of the European Convention on Human Rights; Standards of the Constitutional Court of Georgia related to Criminal Procedure; Rights and Freedoms under ECHR and International Law; Right of Fair Trial; Prohibition of Undue Pressure and Torture; ECHR and International standards of Crime Investigation.
The lectures will be conducted by Georgian and international experts in Constitutional and Human Rights Law, including judges of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of Georgia, European Court of Human Rights, US Federal Court judges, as well as professors and lecturers from Queen's University of Belfast, University of Sussex, Utrecht University, Columbia Law School, etc.
Summer School is held by the Constitutional Court of Georgia and Academy of European Law (ERA), in cooperation with Ilia State University and Public Defender's Office of Georgia, The project is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and supported by British Council of Georgia
