President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia participated in the International Symposium organized by the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On August 27, 2021 the President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Prof. Dr. Merab Turava participated in the International Symposium „The Internet Era: The Rule of Law, the Values of the Person and the State Independence”, organized in the online format by the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Independence and Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The participants of the Symposium were addressed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council of KazakhstanMr. Kairat Mami and the President of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe Mr. Gianni Buquicchio.
The symposium, consisting of three sessions, was dedicated to the following issues: digitization and national sovereignty, human rights on the internet, responsibility of the state bodies to society and the individual.
The justices from Supreme National Courts of Europe and Asia, as well as the representatives of international organizations and academia took part in the meeting.
