French Ambassador Visits the Constitutional Court
Today, the Constitutional Court of Georgia was visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Georgia, Diego Colas, who was hosted by the Deputy Vice President of the Constitutional Court, Teimuraz Tughush.
Given his qualifications and experience in the field of law, Diego Colas was interested in the system of constitutional control in Georgia, its competence and practical aspects of constitutional proceedings. Teimuraz Tughush provided the Ambassador with comprehensive information on the activities of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, the procedure of constitutional proceedings and the effects of the court’s decisions.
The Ambassador of the Republic of France expressed his respect for the activities of the Constitutional Court and positively noted the role of the Constitutional Court in the process of strengthening the rule of law in Georgia. The meeting expressed a desire to deepen cooperation between the French Embassy in Georgia and the Constitutional Court.
