Teimuraz Tughushi Participates in the Meeting of the Presidents of the Supreme Courts of the Council of Europe

The Vice President of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, Teimuraz Tughushi, is participating in the High-Level Meeting of the Presidents of the Supreme Courts of the Council of Europe member states. The event is hosted by France as the Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and is being held at the Palais de Justice in Paris.

The meeting was opened by the President of the French Court of Cassation, the President of the Constitutional Council, the Minister of Justice, the State Prosecutor and the Deputy President of the Council of State. The President of the European Court of Human Rights and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe also addressed the participants.
Within the framework of the meeting of judges of the member states of the Council of Europe, a seminar will be held on various topics, namely - "Effective remedies in court", "Relations between national courts and the European Court of Human Rights", and "Freedom of expression in the face of the right to private and family life".

The meeting of the presidents of the highest courts of the member states of the Council of Europe will conclude its work on 13 September.
