An Oath-Taking Ceremony of Mr. Giorgi Modebadze
Today an oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed judge Mr. Giorgi Modebadze was held at the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
In Accordance with the Article 9 of the Organic Law of Georgia on the Constitutional Court of Georgia, the powers of a member of the Constitutional Court enter into force from the day of oath-taking.
The ceremony was attended by the President of Georgia, the Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, the Judges of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, as well as the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ajara Autonomous Republic.
Mr. Giorgi Modebadze was appointed as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Georgia on the basis of the Presidential Decree No. 243 issued on October 23, 2025.
Mr. Modebadze holds a degree in Law from Georgian Technical University. From 2010 to 2016 he served as a Senior Specialist of the First and Second Categories at the Tbilisi City Court, whereas from 2016 to 2024 he held the positions of Chief of the Secretariat and later as a Manager of the same court.
Since 2024 he has served as the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of
Georgia.
