Mr. Revaz Nadaraia's Oath-taking Ceremony
Today, the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed Justice Mr. Revaz Nadaraia was held at the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
Pursuant to Article 9 of the Organic Law of Georgia “On the Constitutional Court of Georgia”, the authority of a member of the Constitutional Court begins from the day of his/her oath-taking.
The event was attended by: the President of Georgia, judges of the Constitutional Court, as well as the Chairpersons of the Government and Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
Mr. Revaz Nadaraia was appointed as a justice of the Constitutional Court by the Plenum of the Supreme Court of Georgia on 3 April 2025.
He has extensive professional experience. In particular, Mr. Revaz Nadaraia has held judgeship positions in common courts for 15 years. At various times, he was a judge of the Chkhorotsku District Court, a judge and chairman of the Poti City Court, a judge of the Tbilisi City Court, a chairman of the investigative and pre-trial panel of the same court, a judge of the Tbilisi Court of Appeals (in the criminal and civil chambers); finally, before being appointed to the Constitutional Court, since 2021, Mr. Revaz Nadaraia held the position of a judge of the Supreme Court of Georgia. At various times, he held the positions of chairman of the disciplinary and qualification chambers in the same court. In addition, Mr. Revaz Nadaraia was a member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia between 2017-2020, and in 2019 he was elected a member of the Prosecutorial Council.
