Journal of Constitutional Law is announcing call for papers for scholars, researchers and experts in the field of law for Volume 1, 2024.
About the Journal
The Journal is issued by the Constitutional Court of Georgia (www.constcourt.ge) with support of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (www.tsu.ge) and Grigol Robakidze University (www.gruni.edu.ge). The Journal aims at engaging academic discussion around the constitutional law.
Information for the Potential Contributors
Contributors are free in choosing the topic for the paper, so long as the papers are linked to constitutional law and related issues.
Call for papers is announced for the following types of works:
- Academic Paper;
- Article
- Case Review;
- Book Review.
For Volume 1, 2023 Journal is accepting works from persons holding Masters (LLM or MA) or PhD Degree or PhD level students. Works prepared by the students of Bachelors or Masters Degree level shall be reviewed only if they present novel approach on specially problematic issue, which shall be evidenced by relevant research method.
- Papers should be original work, should not have been previously published;
- Papers should be topical, focused on problematic or relevant issue of the constitutional law;
- Papers should aim at engaging in the existing discussion within the field or provoke a new one, papers should be strongly argued and viewpoints should be reasoned;
- Papers should be significant for developing legal science;
- In case of using methodology, it should be consistently followed.
Technical Requirements
Papers can be submitted in Georgian or in English. An abstract of approximately 100 words should also be provided as well as a short resume (CV, autobiography) of the author. During editing, size or content can be corrected. Editing is provided by the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
All types of papers go through visual processing, fonts, font colors, page margins, line spacing, paragraph spacing and other formatting may change.

Contributors grant an exclusive license to the Journal, which also includes the right to reproduce in both paper and electronic format, translation, visual reproduction. Contributors retain the right to the material reworked form in other publications provided that the journal is acknowledged as the original place of publication and is notified in writing and in advance; Works are published under - Creative Commons License, specifically Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 2.0 License, which entails the right to use for any purposes with the condition of attribution.
First stage of submissions:
Authors submit proposed titles and around 100-word abstracts, with the short resume of the author(s) no later than March 3, 2024. Authors will be informed of the decision of selection within two weeks from the deadline.
Second stage of submissions:
Authors selected through the first stage submit finalised articles no later than April 7, 2024.
Papers are submitted directly from the authors. Final decision regarding the publication of the paper(s) is made by the Editorial Board.
Preliminary decision regarding the publication shall be given to the authors within one month from the deadline for submissions. Within this time-frame and later Journal may ask the authors to make editorial corrections, for which, based on the magnitude of corrections, the Journal gives relevant period of time.
